A Dispatches special that exposes the brutal reality of life on the streets and in the slums of Mumbai from the vantage point of four of India's real slumdogs; street children who are forced to reach adulthood long before they should. Filmed over the course of three months and during the treacherous monsoon season, the film tells of daily struggles for survival and explores the harsh social challenges faced by these deprived communities.

The film is directed by Nick Read and produced by the award-winning production team at True Vision, responsible for previous Channel 4 BAFTA TV award winners, Dispatches: China's Stolen Children and Chosen.
